Magnificent beaches, world class snorkelling and SCUBA, pristine jungles, high mountain treks, diverse and colourful culture and some of the friendliest people on the planet make PNG one of the greatest adventure destinations around. For Australians PNG is dominated by the Kokoda Track and surfing. No Roads Expeditions is the number 1 Australian Led Expedition company across the infamous Kokoda Track that runs 96km over the rugged Owen Stanley Ranges. The expedition is seen as a rite of passage for many Australians who thirst for both adventure and an understanding of what Australian Diggers endured to defend their country. No Roads Expeditions runs 3 types of trips across the Kokoda Track, Australian Led and Locally Led trip that takes 8 days to complete and a Short Kokoda that runs for 3 days on the Track. All expeditions are run professionally with most equipment supplied including tents, sat phones, medical equipment and some of the best meals on the Track. No Roads Expeditions also runs treks to PNG’s highest mountain, Mt Wilhelm. Standing at over 4500m and occasionally witnessing snow, Mt Wilhelm will take you into PNG’s Highlands for you to experience both its natural and cultural diversity. We run 2 trips to Wilhelm, one that runs up and back the mountain and one that traverses the entire massif (open to groups of 6 people only). In September, No Roads Expeditions will be running an exploration trip to New Ireland where we will sea kayak the Tigak area. This expedition will allow you to explore isolated islands and communities, snorkel in pristine waters and feel the true remoteness of one of the most fascinating nations on earth, Papua New Guinea. |
